1.  Winter in West Village

  • This Saturday night, come on down to West Village  for the first Winter in West Village! Enjoy family fun while eating a variety of food truck fare, a beer wagon, live local music, cocktails, and a laser light show. Propane heaters and fire barrels will line 8th street to keep you warm and cozy, but dress for the weather!

2.  Miniature Garden “Make & Take” Workshop

  • The Barn Nursery is back at it again with one of their fun classes! Join us this time to create your very own miniature garden, which you can take home! The Barn Nursery provides all the fixins that you’ll need to create your own little masterpiece. This would be great as a family activity, a girl’s night out, or even a guy’s night out!! Adding a little green to your space is the perfect kick to the winter blues!

3.  MLK Day of Service

  • January 15th, 2018 8am-1pm
  • This MLK day, do things a little differently and honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy by joining the City of Chattanooga through community service. Take this Monday as a “day on, not a day off.” Volunteers will gather at the East End of the Chamberlain Field at UTC, and service projects will  spread throughout the city.

4.  Sandhill Crane Cruise

  • Jan 15, 2018 Departing at 10am and 2pm
  • Bare witness to one of the greatest spectacles of the Southeast – the great migration of 15,000-20,000 Sandhill Cranes on their journey from the upper midwest to Florida on the TN Aquarium’s River Gorge Explorer. You’ll have a great view from the comforts of the climate controlled cabin while circumventing Hiwassee Island, a critical stopping point for the birds. 
  • Pro Tip: Bring a good pair of binoculars – you might also see migrant bald eagles, blue heron, and more at the protected habitat. Buy soon – limited number of tickets left!!

5.  Heated Vinyasa / “Hot Yoga” Class

  • Jan 12th 10am, Jan 13th 10am, Jan 14th 10am and 5pm, Jan 15th 10am and 6pm
  • What better way to keep warm during the cold and kick your New Years resolution’s butt than to knock out some hot yoga?? This is a great class if you are looking to improve your strength, flexibility, and cardio. This class is suitable for all levels of experience, but offers a more challenging environment, with complex movements in a safe environment. Temperature will be between 88 and 93 degrees – perfect to keep you warm in this cold!

6. Beginning Knitting Class

  • Are you looking to pick up a new hobby for the new year? Or just something to keep you busy while you stay warm this winter? Take the beginning knitting class to learn a new skill… and make blankets to stay warm in the process.
